There is the orange-colored button next to the eyepiece.

Depressing it causes the battery case to pop up.
Take it off from the camera body and insert the battery.

The battery used on this camera is PX27 (5.6V), but in case it can't be found, get PX 27 adapter that uses SR43 (1.5V) x 4 instead.
